Sitting here this evening, both fans going, the porch seems as far from reality as I can get. Most of what I share tonight is opinion, my opinion. What’s neat about that is I am not bound my facts although I might every now and then throw a few in to to   enhance the quality of this effort. The only difference between my opinion and the main stream media is I don’t have an agenda. First thing this is a fact… Oxford Dictionary…to think about (something) carefully, especially before making a decision or reaching a conclusion. An added advantage to Pondering is the freedom it gives to the ponderer. There are at least eight words that can be used to mean ponder…the well educated call them synonyms. Here is another fact about this action, the Bible uses the ponder in this way…

In Proverbs 21:2 and 24:12, “weigh” is substituted for “ponder.” The one New Testament passage is Luke 2:19; here the Revised Version (British and American) has “pondering” where the King James Version has “and pondered.” (biblestudytools.com )

Still there are no real rules implied, the freedom to ponder is only governed by the severity of the headache you get with such in depth thinking and length of the ponder. We might ask ourselves why is pondering important? The more we engage in pondering we become better, more self-aware of ourselves because we develop a better understanding of how to best think and learn.

‘Ponder’ means to consider, to examine the pros and cons before reaching a decision but when you think’  it could lead to making a snap decision. Here is another great point about pondering…you are under no obligation to make a decision one way or the other. Now I could really stretch this out but that might require me to think how far is enough? The point to be made here is that for folks like me is that it elevates me to as close as I will ever be to being considered an intellectual. It also does one other important thing…It allows us to thank God for the well educated among us.
